 "Soul Food for the Eyes" Continuing the project's momentum, Portsmouth High School students decided to design and install 26 large African motif paintings on a boarded-up building on a corner frequented by drug dealers. The work added aesthetic appeal to the neighborhood and became a source of community pride. Drug trafficking in the area has dropped, and the building's owner has offered the structure for use as a community center. All rights reserved. |
