Painted Kids for
River Days Festival Parade
One of Millennium
Artist Natasha Mayers initial undertakings in Portsmouth was a collaboration
with the Portsmouth Area Arts Council and third-graders from Notre
Dame Elementary School. Together, they created life-size cardboard
kids to ride on the Council's float in the annual River Days Festival
parade. During the festival, Mayers also guided over 80 community
members in the creation of a mural about the history of traffic
on the Ohio River. All rights reserved.
