Covington
architecture and architecture in the Millennium Mosaics
During preliminary
design meetings, residents voiced their interest in the varied
architecture of their community. Artist Olivia Gude involved residents
in creating bas-relief ceramic images of buildings that were significant
in their lives. Covington's own gothic cathedral and its hillside
"space ship" house show the surprising range of the local architecture.
Seventy-five middle school students and over 50 adults created
ceramic replicas of 136 homes and public buildings. Photos by
