In the year 2000, an astonishing experiment demonstrated America’s cultural spirit and complexity. In neighborhoods across America, local residents and artists worked together to address concerns through the artistic process. Along the way, they discovered that arts participation and artists play a dynamic and relevant role in community life and development.
